Yesterday, I hit the half-way mark on my goal to join the 100 Montaditos century club. Cien is a Spanish chain which serves 100 small sandwiches, all for 2 euro or less (on Wednesdays – everything is 1 euro, which is basically a weekly holiday).

What was the lucky 50th Montadito? #54 – Ensaladilla Rusa con atún.

While I won’t be missing a ton of Spanish cuisine when I head back to the states, I will definitely miss this place. From the generous jarras de sangria to the patatas fritas and crisp potato chips and the buzzing, frenetic atmosphere, 100 Montaditos does it right. Especially since it is the one cerveceria in the country that offers speedy service.

Also – great news – there are two locations of the franchise in Florida. Anyone down to make a trip to Miami?
