my favorite run.

25 May

In Berkeley, it was the Firetrail, during cross-country it was Old Agoura or runs at Lake Sherwood. Everywhere I’ve lived I’ve had that one “favorite run.” After finding that run in Madrid, I know it will be nearly impossible to beat in terms of the insanely high awesome-sights-per-mile rating. Here’s what I see on my favorite run (from my apartment in the Moncloa area to the lake in Casa de Campo and back).

Pretty good for 44 minutes, right? Do any of you have a favorite run? Where does it take you?

near Principe Pío. about 10 minutes into the run.

Manzanares River, Royal Palace, and the Cathedral. Epic.

just over 20 minutes in i hit this lake.

if i had to name my single favorite spot in the city, this would be it.

one day i am going to have a caña (or jarra, let's be real) mid-run.

back along the river.

crossing the river, view of the cathedral.

graffiti and the royal palace.

I like to think I liked Old Agoura because it was pretty, but honestly I think it was the least painful run we did, lol. Juan de Anza was for sure NOT my fav haha
